The representatives of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) visited Brodosplit

Split, October 12, 2017 – Representatives of the Japanese ’Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) company visited Shipbuilding Industry Split (Brodosplit) on October 12, 2017.

’MHI group has three shipbuilding facilities in Nagasaki, Kobe, and Shimonoseki in Japan. We excel in the building of ships with high added value, such as LNG carriers, and cruise ship and participate in the production of defense and space equipment based on years of accumulated experience and technologies. With a strong record of supply to both Japanese and overseas customers, we are known worldwide for our forward-looking approach and the global scale of our activities,' the Japanese guests highlighted in their introductory presentation.

During their stay in the Brodosplit Shipyard, they talked with the executive director of Brodosplit, Mr. Zoran Kunkera and Assistant to the Management Board, Mr. Mate Lukas, who introduced them to the production possibilities of Brodosplit, presented some of the newer projects and development plans.

After having been introduced to the company's current and potential projects, the representatives took a walk through the shipyard to take a look at the company's facilities and manufacturing capabilities. They've visited the world's largest sailing ship and learned about Brodosplit's plans and goals to successfully position themselves in the international market.

They have expressed satisfaction with what they've seen and have shown their interest in cooperating on joint projects. Since its inception in 1884, the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group contributes to the development of the society through state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions. It employs 82,728 workers in the production of a wide range of products from air conditioning and the aviation industry to energy systems, shipbuilding and manufacturing more than 700 different systems for various markets around the world.
