Split Shipyard as Part of a Sci-Fi Film Spectacle

The Brodosplit shipyard has become part of the Croatian-American science fiction film Storm Rider: The Legend of Hammerhead, which arrives in Croatian cinemas on April 9 following its world premiere.

This is an ambitious co-production that brings together domestic and international film professionals, with the aim of positioning Croatia as a relevant destination for major film projects.

The film presents a post-apocalyptic story filmed at multiple attractive locations across Croatia, including Split, Brač, Hvar, the Kornati Islands, Pag, Dubrovnik, and Vodice, with the industrial setting of Brodosplit adding extra authenticity and visual strength to the production.

This project represents a significant step forward for the regional film industry, with particular emphasis on the fact that the film will be shown in more than 300 cinemas across the United States.

Brodosplit’s participation in such a production confirms the potential of industrial locations within the context of creative industries and opens the door for future international collaborations.
