New mini cruiser launched in Brodosplit

According to the project and classification documentation approved by Croatian Register of Shipping, Brodosplit  BSO-Naval & Special Vessels Shipyard  has built steel hull and superstructure for the ship with the overall length of 48.79 meters, breadth of 8.8 meters, depth of 3.82 meters and draught of 2.40 meters, while the enjoyable sailing and pleasant time on the cruise on the Adriatic islands and the coastline are guaranteed by two power engines of 368 kW each.

According to the custom peculiar for such ceremonies,  many members of Marasović family, friends, construction and financing partners, have attended the launch, while Andrija Marasović, the owner of the company cut the rope which released the champagne bottle and symbolically ¸¸launched¸¸ the ship into the sea.

- For several decades our family has been involved in organizing excursions and multi-day cruises on the islands. First, my father organized trips on wooden ships that used to transport sand, and today there is almost one hundred of modern steel ships in Krilo Jesenice. The guests are delighted with the level of luxury and service we provide, said Andrija Marasović, happy godfather and owner of the new ship in the family.

With today's launch, the series of construction of cruise ships, popularly called 'Kriljani' has reached the number of 12 delivered newbuildings, and with their construction the Programme of Reconstruction of the Passenger and Excursion Fleet for Croatian Private Operators-small entrepreneurs whose objectives are the development of small enterprise on the coast and the islands, as well as tourism development through organised day-trips and multiple-day cruises – has been realized.
