Split, 01/13/2020 - Following the recent delivery of the bow section of the ship's hull and the acquisition of the unofficial record of the largest record carrier of the largest heavy cargo transport in Croatia, they have launched a new venture in Brodosplit. On boarding the barge, 3 self-propelled modular transporters were boarded and two mega sections for the passenger cruiser which is being built at Monfalcone, Italy's largest Fincantier shipyard, were transported.

These are sections of the center and bow of the hull, with a total weight of over 900 tons of steel, equipped with various pipelines, vertical communications, machines and devices, connections and anchorage elements, passage ways for power and automation, hatchways and bookports. One of the H2 marking sections is a section which is 23 m long, 33 m wide, 7 m high and 392 tonnes in weight, while the other Y3 section is 29 m long, 30 m wide, 12 m high and 520 tonnes in weight. The latter is a mega block of the center of the ship. It has four decks, and will be mounted on the ship in the dock which goes directly from the barge, which is transported to Monfalcone. The section has made preparations for the installation of passenger cabins, which can be immediately mounted on decks after installation.

The DIV Group has one of the largest engineering potentials in Croatia, that is more than 350 engineers who are the generator of development in the industry we are leading. The ships we build are a recognizable Croatian product, dare I say the only one that is visible and recognizable globally, said Tomislav Debeljak, CEO of Brodosplit. The boarding was carried out horizontally by loading onto a barge with 3 lines of self-propelled modular high-capacity transporters (SPMT), individually with 20 axles, carried out by 'Brodosplit' transports and floating cranes that specialized in this type of transport and handling of extremely heavy loads on land and at sea.

This delivery is a continuation of many years of cooperation with one of the largest shipbuilding groups in the world, the Fincantieri Group.
