Split, December 18, 2020 - The United States Department of Defense Attache to Croatia, Colonel Matt Denny, accompanied by Lieutenant Brad Ritzel, Head of the US EUCOM Office of Defense Cooperation in Croatia, visited the Shipbuilding Industry in Split.

Member of the Management Board Tomislav Čorak and Advisor to the Management Board for Corporate Security Boško Ramljak presented the guests with current projects and announced several new projects in the field of shipbuilding, non-shipbuilding, and renewable energy sources.

After presenting the shipyard through current and potential projects, visitors were introduced to the capacities and production capabilities of the company. The tour of the production plant had an emphasis on the soon to be  delivery of a polar cruiser built for the American client Quark Expeditions and the continuation of the construction of coastal patrol ships with which Brodosplit returned to the niche of military shipbuilding after the delivery of the prototype 'Omiš' to the Croatian Navy.

“Visit to Brodosplit-a modern state of the art shipyard - was very impressive. The quality of construction of the military coastal patrol ships, the various civilian ships, and the construction of non-ships to include the components for maritime Windmills and water management components, highlight the depth and talent of the company’s design, engineering, and construction capability. This versatile company clearly meets and exceeds the requirements of clients and leverages years of experience in building high quality products. I am pleased to observe this innovative “Croatian Know-how” and look forward to highlighting this capability - said Colonel Matt Denny.
