With finalization of Qualification programme for scarce positions in shipbuilding, 40 unemployed persons received Certificate of qualification for positions of welders, pipers, fitters and crane workers. The promotion was held on December 3, 2007 in the Croatian Employment Centre and already on December 4, 2007 the majority of them were employed in Brodosplit.
This action was only the continuance of good cooperation between Brodosplit and Croatian Employment Centre in the qualification and employment programmes for scarce positions in shipbuilding. From 2006 till today 72 welders, 41 pipers, 28 fitters and 13 crane workers received their qualification certificate.
Lessons and practical work in period of 2,5 months were done in the Educational Centre Brodosplit with professors from Open University. The curriculum for welders, pipers, fitters and crane workers all 154 candidates passed with success and they all were immediately employed.
During the programme expenses were covered for all the candidates, including programme and transport expenses. During the qualification programme candidates also received stimulation of 1000,00 Kuna.
Total amount for this programme, so far 1.694,000 Kuna, was ensured by Croatian Employment Centre, while Brodosplit participated in providing production plants and practice. The average price pf the qualification programme per candidate was 11.000,00 Kuna. Successful cooperation with Croatian Employment Centre continues through qualification programmes for new welders, pipers, fitters and crane workers.
