The ship is designed for transportation of passengers, cars, trucks and vehicle with dangerous goods and will achieve a speed of 13 knots. Among other things, the ship has air-conditioned room for 800 passengers, and she is equipped with hydraulic ramps at the bow and stern for loading and unloading vehicles and escalators for passengers. She is scheduled to sail in both directions, which enables the bow and stern steering and rotary propulsion stern and bow. The capacity of the ship is 138 standard cars and 12 trailers (each 40 t), and 1200 passengers.
Three days after delivery, on May 30, 2010, at the Split harbour Ro-Ro passenger ship was named “JADRAN” and included in the regular passenger traffic.

Emphasize that Croatian maritime is fulfilled the criteria for entering in the EU, Minister Kalmeta noted that Croatian government after entering in the EU will be able to continue support building its passenger fleet, while Damir Arapović, Director of Brodosplit Naval and special vessels shipyard Ltd., said that ship is built in the most difficult economic conditions of recession, but successfully demonstrating the importance of cooperation between the national company with local shipbuilders. I am convinced that „Jadran“ is not going to be the last boat that you built - said Prime Minister Kosor.
