First reserved brigade, 114th Croatian Army brigade celebrated 19th anniversary


On the 1st of June 114th Croatian Army brigade, first reserved brigade, celebrated 19th anniversary of forming by laying flowers and lighting candles in memory of the fallen victims for Croatian freedom.

Headed by their military commanders, around hundred brigade members along with associations of the sufferers from Homeland war, and County, city and municipal representatives, laid flowers and lit candles by the central cross at the Croatian veterans cemetery Lovrinac. As a memory of the fallen members of Croatian Army who were employees of Diokom, flowers was laid in front of the building of ex.Diokom and in the Park of Croatian Martyrs in Brodosplit.

The wholly mass took place in the church of Saint Ante in Poljud and it was led by the monk Ante Kekez, while the wholly release was given at the cemetery Lovrinac by Don Branimir Projić.

The gathering of the present was organized at the premises of the church after the mass, and the main subject was the celebration of the 20th anniversary where all members, current and former, will be invited.

Day of remembrance - Vukovar 1991


This year, 18 November 2009 members of the Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit on their traditional way of celebrating the Day of remembrance for the victims of aggression on Vukovar 1991. year include the six members of its newly formed motorcycle - sections that are put off engines.

In addition to marking the anniversary of participation in the column of memory, release of candles down the river Dunav, were organized and meetings with fellow fighters from UDVDR County Vukovarsko-Srijemska, UDVDR city of Vukovar, Sport fishing association BOROVO RESORT 91 from Vukovar, and arranged to meet with the family Joseph and Mary Ivankovic from Šarengrad.

"On this occasion we feel called to inform the Croatian public, which for years deceiving the number of participants of this important event, contrary to official published figures and the endless variety in the column memories Croatians truly showed how mean their shrines - the victim offered on the altar of the homeland," said Goran Zlopaša, president of the Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit.

19th Anniversary of '' shipyard battalion ''


On the occasion of 19th Anniversary II. police battalion known as " shipyard battalion '', which was also the day of the Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit, at the October 16, 2009 was loyal tribute to the victims and marked this day of pride to shipyard defenders.

This battalion was the 114th base Brigade HV, and after the 158th birth Brigade and 6 Home Guard Regiment.

In the park Croatian Martyrs in round Brodosplit, families of deceased and members of UVDR Brodosplit, Andro Jašić, on behalf of the Board Brodosplit, Damir Gabrić, on behalf of the Prefect of Split-Dalmatian, Split vicemayor Jure Šundov, Joško Delale, on behalf of the City of Solin, and Mario Tomasović, President HVIDR-a Split, laid flowers and lit candles at the memorial twenty killed Croatian soldiers in the Homeland War.

After taking the requiem was held in church Saint Ante in Poljud by Fr. Ante Kekez.

In the 18 hours was held at the regular annual reporting-election Parliament Association in theaters Hajduk, who led the President of the Association Goran Zlopaša. Parliament members of the Association attended and prefect of Split-Dalmatia county, Ante Sanader welcomed the attendees pointed out that the association with his work and enthusiasm, caring for war veterans, by investing in young people, fostering and preserving the dignity of the Homeland War, deserves attention, not only the mayor but also the wider . He also stressed that the County and beyond, and now assist the work of this Association and its members. With the mayor of Parliament was attended by representatives HVIDR-e Split.

International memorial ‘’ 12 Policemen ‘’


On May 2, 2009 the 14 members of the Association of War Veterans Brodosplit, between 12 teams participated in the traditional 8th futsal tournament of the ‘’ 12 Policemen ‘’ in Vukovar.

The tournament is organized in memory of 12 Croatian policemen who were May 2, 1991 in Borovo Selo, killed by the Chetniks.

Is a common message of all the parties to the legal institutions of the state tournament for an investigation of the perpetrators of these crimes that have not yet lawsuit.

Laying flowers and lighting candles in the Vukovar cemetery of Croatian soldiers and the Ovčara, loyal tribute to the fallen defenders of Vukovar, and all the fallen Croatian defenders of freedom.

Participants visited the memorial museum in Vukovar hospital, a museum in the hangar at the Ovčara, and the first Croatian burnt village Čelije.

18th Anniversary of Shipyard battalion


18th anniversary of Second police and Shipyard’s battalion and 11 years of Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit was celebrated on October 16, 2008, when members of Association laid down the flowers and lighted the candles on the memory of deceased defenders in the Park of Croatian Martyrs in round shipyard. It was followed by the mass in the church of Saint Ante in Poljud and by the general meeting in the rooms of Football club “Hajduk”, in Poljud.

However, the foundation of 114 th brigade was the first battalion, so called “Shipyard’s battalion”, which was founded on of October 16, 1990 as Second police battalion. The battalion started to operate in January 1991 and was formed of Shipyard’s volunteers.

After the June 1 and after the foundation of 114 th brigade volunteers of other companies from Split joined the battalion. They were from Diokom, HPT, Dalma, Promet, Koteks, Brodomerkur, and volunteers from Omiš, Solin, Trogir and Dugopolje. That was the formation of one very strong battalion whose headquarters was precisely at Brodosplit.

Only to remind, first commanding officer of Shipyard’s battalion was Stipe Bilokapić and chief of staff lieutenant Josip Tešija. First commanding officer of 114 th brigade was brigadier Ante Čatlak.

Members of Shipyard’s battalion as well as members of 114 th brigade participated in most of the actions on area of Drniš and south battlefield, as well as in operations Winter 94, Summer 95 and “Oluja”.

17 years of forming 114th Croatian Army brigade


On June 1, 2008 laying the flowers in front of Central Cross on city cemetery Lovrinac and lighting the candles in the Park Croatian Martyrs in round Brodosplit, Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit celebrated 17 years of forming 114th Croatian Army brigade.

Famous 114th brigade was formed on 1st June 1991 in Shipyard in Split and it's first commanding officer was Navy Officer Ante Čatlak. Brigade gave it's tremendous contribution to the operations ‘’Peruča’’, ‘’Maslenica’’, ‘’Zima 94’’, ‘’Ljeto 95’’ and ‘’Oluja’’. During Croatian Independence War 7900 soldiers passed through the brigade, out of who 88 of them gave their life for free Croatia.

On this years celebration present were members of Association, 114th brigade, families of killed defenders and representatives of many war Associations, as well as representatives of county, Cities of Split, Kaštela, Omiš and Trogir, representatives of Brodosplit and many other esteemed guests.

Requiem was held in church Saint Ante in Poljud.

International memorial '' 12 Policemen ''


On 2nd May 2008, 12 members of the Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit participated together with 12 soccer teams on the 7th traditional international soccer tourney " 12 Policemen " in Vukovar.

The tourney is being organizes in the memory of 12 savagely murdered Policemen on 2nd May 1991 in Borovo Selo by the members of Serbian radicals called Četnici.

Mutual message of all participants of this tourney is the appeal to the State for immediate investigations and trials for the participants of this crime, who are still today living peacefully in Vukovar.

Laying the flowers and lighting the candles on the cemetery of Croatian defenders in Vukovar and on Ovčara, commemoration was done for the all fallen defenders of Vukovar and Croatian liberty.

During the memorial, participants visited Museum in the hospital of town Vukovar and newly opened Museum on Ovčara.

17th Anniversary of Shipyard battalion


By laying the flowers and lighting the candles in the park Croatian Martyrs in round Brodosplit, and with requiem that was held in church Saint Ante in Poljud, on October 16, 2007 Homeland War Veterans Association Brodosplit celebrated 17th Anniversary of forming Shipyard battalion and 10 years of forming their Association.

Together with many members of Association, families of deceased Croatian defenders, present were Ante Sanader, prefect of county splitsko-dalmatinska, his deputy Luka Brčić, vice mayor of Split Jozo Balić, vice mayor of Solin Petar Režić, deputy of Chief of Police in Split-Dalmatia county Ante Gudelj, press, shipyard unions, Club of Blood donators volunteers Brodosplit and many other quests.

President of Association, Goran Zlopaša, expressed his happiness regarding arrival of so many guests, what is significant prove of quality work of Association and he emphasized that they will continue the trend of good work, what surly won’t be hard to do since they have special members like they do.

On this years celebration present were members of Association, families of killed defenders and representatives of many war Associations, as well as representatives of County, Cities of Split, Kaštela, Omiš and Trogir, representatives of Brodosplit and many other esteemed guests.
